About Me

My Background

I was born in Chicago and decided to be an artist in kindergarten when my drawing of Three Snowmen was published in the school newspaper. I had a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago during my school years. I majored in art at The Ohio State Univsersity and was certified to teach art. I have received botanical art training at the New York Botanical Garden, the Brookside Botanical Garden in Maryland, the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden in Pittsburgh, the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida and have attended master classes in St. Michael Maryland, Filoli Gardens in Woodside, California and Falls Church, Virginia. I am currently living in Williamsburg, Virginia.
